Premium Paints and why you should consider them.

There are some decorators out there that do not want to use premium paint brands like Farrow and Ball. Happy and content with trade paints and matching services, they opt for their safer and trusted option.
However you shouldn't have to, if you love a colour and let's be honest, farrow and ball & Little Greene paints do have a depth to them that's hard to recreate and they do make a difference for certain finishes.
Sometimes it's subtle but like an audiophile who wants to hear those faint shakers in the background panning from left to right in just a touch more detail, that's the feeling a lot of people have walking into a room with some fancy named and expensive paint on the wall. Subtle changes in light and depth bring interest and warmth that other paints just can't do.
It is expensive when you look at a 5L tub side by side with a non-premium brand. However, it's not always cheaper overall. Some paints just don't have the density of pigmentation and therefore require more coats and more coats mean more time either for you or your painter, which incurs more costs.
So if you want a luxury paint, talk to your chosen professional about the cost vs coverage and you may hear a good argument to go for those paints that give you 'the feeling'!
